Food Coma

The work day was long and arduous. Our computers went down. Our printers went down. Our thermals went down. To top it off, the bathroom flooded. I think it was somebody up THERE saying, "I see you're looking forward to your day off tomorrow. Here. Let me throw a wrench in there for ya..."

However, I just got home from Jeff's house, where I had a bomb-ass pre-Thanksgiving dinner with his family. I love dinner at his house. The food is always perfect and I feel good while I'm there. I didn't want to show up empty-handed, so I bought a sansrival from Goldilocks during my lunch break.
"What the heck is that?," you may ask. Sansrival (as defined on the Goldilocks websited):
"Four layers of cashew-flavored meringue
filled and iced with French buttercream
and chopped cashew nuts."

Back to the topic. Jeff's parents are bomb-ass cooks. I love eating at his house, even though I don't get to as much as I want to due to situations. Tonight we (Jeff, Benji, their folks, their grandmother, & myself) had...
1) Smoked turkey (moist/delicious, even without the gravy)
2) Baked potatoes/ sour cream (I got to slice open my own!)
3) Salad (w/ cherry tomatoes grown in their garden)
4) Cream of mushroom soup (courtesy of Jeff's dad)
5)Casserole (so friggin' good!)
6)Sliced/baked potatoes (very good, although gone way to fast)
7) Pumpkin cheesecake (had a bite, too full at this point)
8)Custard pie (didn't even touch that one, otherwise I'd explode)
9)Sansrival (had a piece that almost did me in)

Sweet Jesus! I'm still trying to digest it all... -groan/wheeze- We also had sparkling apple cider and sparkling grape cider.

It was a good ending to a long day. I'm going to bed with my latest book: Body Brokers by Annie Cheney. It's really disturbing and informative at the same time. I'll write more about it later. Gotta drag my ass to my room. G'nite!
